seceuroglide insulated sectional garage doors

The Perfect Door for the Perfect Fit

The Seceuroglide insulated sectional garage door range follows all the same tried and tested principles of the leading UK electric roller shutter door range for so many years now    -    High Quality, High Security, Made to Measure, Delivery 2-3 weeks from order.

The Seceuroglide sectional range offers all the latest designs and finishes to satisfy most traditional or contemporary property types.

Made to Measure as Standard
The Seceuroglide sectional garage doors are all made to measure to the millimetre as standard, ensuring that in most cases there is no need for infills, fascias and frame cover profiles as required when making a non standard size doors fit into a very frequently encountered non standard size width and height. Other manufacturers offer covers and face plates and infills for the head but with the Seceuroglide range if you measure accurately and have the required side room and headroom requirements then why not order your new door as a perfect fit. Maximise your garage opening, and make the installation easier when the framework fits perfectly.

Benefits
The vertical operation of the sectional garage door has been central to its popularity, as well as the excellent thermal insulation offered by the 40mm thick double skinned steel panels.
The mechanism takes the door up vertically to then curve in its tracks and follow the ceiling horizontally, eventually parking far higher up than a normal up and over door and leaving the best possible opening for your garage.
The insulation offered by the panels makes any integral garage energy efficient and not a cold spot taking all the heat out of one side of your home.

As a standard sectional door usually comprises of 4 double skinned insulated panels using 5 roller either side, the security is also guaranteed because of the stability gained with these 10 rollers all set into C channel steel tracks, making a forced entry almost impossible. The design of a sectional door means you have to be able to move the door upwards at the same time as inwards so when it is closed it is extre, eley difficult to make any gains from a forced attack o the panels at any point. The door is solid and secure when closed providing pece of mind your garage contents are safe.

Most sectional garage doors are installed using a remote control electric operator as the benefits are obvious, with no handle fitted for manual operation you already save money on some mechanics and this makes the electric option very attractive indeed.
The security is excellent as the door is locked every time it is closed, and the convenience is obvious, the simple push of a button remotely to open or close your garage door, whatever the size. In the event of a power failure the suggested Somfy electric operator has the option of a back up battery system to provide several operations until the mains power returns.

The Range
The Seceuroglide range consists of a Georgian panelled door and 5 further ribbed designs. You have the Georgian cassette design in what could be described as a medium panel, this being rectangular but not too far off square, and this design is in a woodgrain embossed surface finish. The cleanest and most basic desing is the Unribbed design which mens there is no design whatsoever in the panels but just the line breaks between each panel making this a design in itself. The Centre Rib design has one line in each panel so the verall effect is a doubling of the lines when the panel break is factored in, so you would have 7 lines across in a standard height door. The Top Rib design has 1 line at the upper end of each panel so as to give the effect of double lines when situated next to the panel break line. The Ribbed design is 5 lines per panel so has the effect of tongue and groooved boarding horizontally and finall the Micr Rib is a very different fine zig zag line design in an otherwise plain panel, best described as beng like the wooden washboards in its look and feel when running your hand over it.

The Colours
As with most garage doors the quickest and lowest price option is always white and in the case of the Seceuroglide this white finish is a RAL 9016 Traffic white. You then have a large range of standard colours, 19 in all to choose from and all these colours only apply to the external face, the internal is an off white finish. There is then a further range of metallic colour finishes, 8 to choose from and then the 4 woodgrain laminate finish options, very popular to match with existing windows and doors on many properties.
If none of these colours are suitable then choose from ANY RAL colour for the same price as the woodgrain finishes.

Choice of Mechanisms
The sectional doors available in the UK will have different spring lifting positions and tracking mechanisms depending on requierments and door size, and the Seceuroglide is no different.

seceuroglide sectional elite operation
The Seceuroglide Sectional Elite
has the tension springs situated at either side of the door ensuring the tightest of headroom requirements and the horizontal tracks only coming onto the garage 450mm longer than the door height. Only 100mm of headroom is required above the door height ordered and 130mm if you have the electric operator system fitted. This headroom requirment is always for the full length back of the operator which in this case is the door height plus 750mm.

elite side sprung sectional door
The Elite system will be the most commonly used mechanism for single sized doors and keeps the internals as clean as possible.

The side springs are called tension springs as they assist is the lifting of the door panels with tension applied when stretched. The springs are tucked into the side channels and need no extra support from anywhere but the framing system for the door.

Minimum Headroom Required for manual door:    100mm
Minimum Headroom Required for electric door:     130mm

Sideroom Required either side for ideal fit: 90mm

Maximum Door Ordering Width 3000mm
Maximum Door Ordring Height  2250mm

Drive Through Height when open (manual)
Door Order Height - 125mm

Drive Through Height when open (electric)
Door Order Height - 40mm

seceuroglide sectional plus mechanism
The Seceuroglide Sectional PLUS
has the front mounted torsion spring and requires 200mm of headroom above the door ordering height and this is the same for a manual or electric operated door. This headroom will be required door height plus 500mm back into the garage for the tracking, the electrc operator is a further 450mm back.

sectional plus with front mounted torsion springing

The Plus system will be the most commonly used mechanism for double sized doors where there is no headroom issue.

The front mounted springs are called torsion springs as they assist  the lifting of the door panels with adjustable force by tensioning the spring during installation.
The springs are mounted to a position above the top door panel and do need a good strong fixing point.

Minimum Headroom Required for manual door:    200mm
Minimum Headroom Required for electric door:     200mm

Sideroom Required either side for ideal fit: 90mm

Maximum Door Ordering Width 5250mm
Maximum Door Ordring Height  3000mm

Drive Through Height when open (manual)
Door Order Height - 125mm

Drive Through Height when open (electric)
Door Order Height - 125mm

compact low headroom securoglide sectional gear
The Seceuroglide Sectional Compact
has the rear mounted, low headroom torsion spring mounting and requires only 70mm of headroom and 120mm when fitted with an electric operator. The tracks for this door and the spring mounting add another 780mm to the internal requirements, and again the electric operator unit is 450mm extra.

The Compact system will be the most commonly used mechanism for double sized doors where there is a lower internal headroom issue.

The rear mounted springs are called torsion springs as they assist  the lifting of the door panels with adjustable force by tensioning the spring during installation.
The springs are mounted to a position at the back of the running tracks and do need a good  fixing point.

Minimum Headroom Required for manual door:    70mm
Minimum Headroom Required for electric door:    125mm

Sideroom Required either side for ideal fit: 90mm

Maximum Door Ordering Width 5250mm
Maximum Door Ordring Height  3000mm

Door Order Height - 125mm

Drive Through Height when open (electric)
Door Order Height - 125mm

Fitting Positions
As you will find with every single sectional door sold in the UK, the optimum installation position is to the inside face of the garage opening. Unfortunately there are may times when this is not possible as the internal face reveal is either not wide enough for the frame leg, or does no exist at all. When there is no internal headroom this also can cause the door position to be questioned. Sometimes the length of the garage is an issue and the door is required to be fitted as far forward as possible and therefore inbetween the garage structrual opening is the ideal place. In these cases the Seceuroglide sectinal door has t be ordered with the inbetween (reveal fit) fitting kit, ths comprises of several brackets, nuts and bolts to anable the frame legs and head section to be fitted inbetween and held secure. The dimensions for ordering sectional doors are always the sizes inbetween the framework (the daylight opening), so for an inbetween installation you would  have to deduct the sideroom and headroom requirements from the structural opening dimensions to obtain your ordering dimensions.
