Perishable foodstuffs such as fruit, vegetables, meat or fish must be transported from the manufacturer to the consumer in a secured thermal cooling chain. Storing the products in high-energy consumption, thermal temperature-controlled warehouses is one of the many parts of this chain. The DPU door minimises temperature losses close to the loading door in warehouses of this kind, making sure you save on operating expenditure.

The Hormann DPU is designed to protect frozen perishable goods. With a strong double-skinned wall, it caters for a thermal resistance of up to 0.7W/m²K.

If frozen perishables warehousing is also a topic you are interested in, please visit our page regarding the Iso Speed Cold high-speed door.

The double-skinned, PU-foamed 80mm thick door sections provide particularly good insulation. Double floor and lintel seals boost sealing at the door and reduce energy loss as a result.

The inside and outside of the double-skinned sections are thermally separated. This caters for a thermal resistance of up to 0.7W/m²K and reduces the formation of condensation on the inside of the door.

Aluminium glazing frames not only bring more light into cold storage, the extrusions with thermal break (depth: 80mm) and GRP-reinforced polyamide spacers also provide a high level of insulation. The DPU sectional doors are also available with matching compound glazing in three versions. Synthetic double, triple or fourfold panes.
