Construction Details
The SeceuroVision 800 uses the UPH 250 guide rail. The UPH 250 is recommended for wider shutters with higher security requiment with 250mm, 300mm or 350mm box. It consists of extruded aluminium with an integral box section for reinforcement and to facilitate fixing. It also has a high density 4mm or 7mm pile brush for quiet and smooth operation. The dimensions are 90mm wide x 34mm deep. This guide rail on the SeceuroShield 60 is available in the stock colours of white, black, cream and brown.
FOR RETAIL USE
The SeceuroVision 800 can deliver up to 58.5% vision. This is ideal and almost a necessity for most retail outlets wishing to flaunt their assets whilst out of opening hours. Available for alternative use as both a bar and kiosk, it is the perfect shutter wherever permanent vision is required.
Curtain Slat
Made from single-walled extruded and punched aluminum slats. Solid slats are housed within the shutter box, with portions visible on a fully punched curtain.
The vision slat section is 150mm x 55mm and is available as either open or with a 1.5mm polycarbonate section insert to close the section off to air and access.
Bottom Slat
An extruded aluminum bottom slat with a rubber seal ensures a secure and tight closure.
Unique Applications
The SeceuroVision 800 is specifically designed to provide the highest levels of vision, airflow, and natural light transmission demanded by many local authorities for established high streets and modern shopping centres.

Installation Overview
The SeceuroVision 800 is designed for professional installation, capable of being fitted internally or externally in either a reveal (between the opening) or face-fixed (around the opening) configuration. Accurate surveying is critical for ensuring proper fit and operation.
| Fixing Substrate | Shutters must be fixed into a solid substrate (steelwork, masonry, or suitable timber). Fixing into hollow materials like plasterboard or Thermalite block is not recommended without appropriate structural reinforcement. |
| Guide Rail Fixing | Reveal Fix: Measure width at top, middle, and bottom; use the smallest dimension. Ensure walls are plumb. Face Fix: Measure the clear opening width and add the guide width (90mm x 2 for UPH 250) to determine the overall width. Ensure the surface is flat to avoid twisting the guides. |
| Shutter Box Fixing | End plates must be securely fixed through the pre-drilled holes. For heavier curtains (over 75kg), steel end plates are supplied and require substantial fixings (e.g., M10 or M12 bolts depending on substrate). Note: The full weight of the shutter is supported by the end plates. |
| Electrical Connection | Standard motors require a 13-amp fused spur. Installation must comply with BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations). For safety, hold-to-run switches should be located in full view of the shutter. Remote control operation requires additional safety devices (e.g., photo cells or safety edge) to prevent entrapment. |
| Safety Brakes | An anti-drop safety brake is required for all manual or electric shutters where the risk of failure could cause injury (mandatory for most commercial doorways). This is typically fitted to the non-drive end of the axle. |
| Maintenance Access | The box design includes a removable bottom cover (chamfered at 45°) to allow access to the curtain and motor for future maintenance or repairs. |
