Deliveries
We endeavour to deliver all products as fast as possible to your home or site address. The majority of doors and shutters are made to order and this means they are not 'off the shelf' and are either made to measure or made to a specification, built within our online shop or made to suit your specifications.
As you may appreciate, shutters and doors are generally very large and heavy items, with many of the products completely factory assembled, so specialised handling and delivery is generally required from our carriers as well as assistance at the delivery site.
We will make you aware of anticipated delivery dates as early as possible. We will not make promises we cannot keep, but we will keep you informed of the progress of your delivery.
Delivery Requirements
Whilst every reasonable effort will be made to make a requested site delivery, the following requirements must be met:
Full address, postcode, contact name, mobile or land line phone number must be given.
Appropriate assistance required for unloading and to sign, print and date the proof of delivery.
For larger doors there needs to be access for a large lorry (18m x 4m x 2.5m) the size of a double-decker bus. Some roads are not large vehicle friendly. Please make us aware of any possible restrictions. For many smaller items standard couriers can deliver so the usual interactions will take place as occur with couriers.
The access for larger products is to include the approach roads in the local area, low bridges and width & weight restrictions. Tree canopy height must be taken into account.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure that these conditions are met. If any of these hazards are encountered and we are not aware the delivery will possibly be aborted and additional costs incurred for a return visit. Should the driver consider the access unsuitable or that there is a risk of damage to the vehicle the delivery will be aborted.
If a delivery postcode is checked and deemed to be unsuitable for the proposed delivery vehicle prior to the door being delivered, you will be contacted to make alternative arrangements for delivery to a more suitable address or alternatively, in some cases, we can make arrangements for delivery to be made via a third party carrier in a smaller vehicle at an additional charge, the cost of which will be confirmed.
Most deliveries will require assistance for offloading when delivered to site and some larger doors will need lifting equipment on site. We need to be made aware of any delivery restrictions prior to order being placed. Please note, deliveries will take place during Monday - Friday.

Delivery times can be affected quite often by the final colour choice, specialist controls or whether the specific model is manufactured in the UK or Germany.
For larger doors it is also imperative we are aware of the exact delivery location and site approach and conditions as large lorries will be used.

Site Delivery
On larger roller shutter door sizes (over about 6m width) specialist transport is used and it is imperative we have full details of the site delivery and any potential restrictions for large lorries. It will be the responsibility of the customer to provide suitable off loading facilities and take responsibility for the offloading process and handling from the vehicle. We can pre arrange assistance and handling equipment if required at extra cost The offloading of the large doors will nearly always require on site lifting equipment.
Most steel doorsets by Samson Doors are made to exacting standards, mainly because they are all certified and compliant for their intended purpose. The doors are all made to measure. We do NOT offer doors which have been cut from standard panels and rejigged and cannot offer UK compliant certification. Many of the higher specification doors are extremely heavy and most doors are completely factory assembled including the outer sub frame and all hardware so offloading and handling can be challenging. Be aware assistance is always required on delivery and sometimes specialised lifting equipment may be required. Delivery times can vary throughout the year so the below times are very general.. The final specification will determine the exact manufacturing time.

We offer a wide range of insulated sectional doors for both domestic and industrial applications and the delivery dates are very different between the 2 types.
Domestic Sectional Doors.
We offer both standard and purpose made insulated sectional garage doors and most of them can be offloaded by one or 2 people upon delivery with varying size delivery lorries used.
Industrial Sectional Doors
All the industrial sectional doors are made to order and will be delivered on far larger lorries generally with manual handling far more difficult and we advise the use of lifting equipment on site for larger sizes over 5m width.

Most security grilles and roller shutters are completely made to measure for a perfect fit. We do stock standard sizes of trackless barriers and security grilles for fast delivery and an easy site installation.
Many smaller size grilles and shutters can be despatched via standard courier services for the fastest delivery to you. Special colours will generally add extra manufacturing time to orders.
