Commercial & Industrial Electric Security Sliding Gates
Sliding gates are a perfect solution for controlling vehicle and pedestrian access to so many premises, whether commercial, industrial or domestic. The sliding gate has minimal impact on surrounding space inside and outside the entrance and allows for vehicles to drive right up to the gate during operation. As long as you have the space to one side, or both sides for larger gates, then they are possibly the best solution to most larger entrances for security, convenience and overall integrity which also means longevity and minimal maintenance.
- Space Saving Design - the design and mechanism for a sliding gate only requires a small area to one or both side to operate.
- Perfect on Uneven Ground - Cantilever gates do not touch the ground anywhere along their length so the ground level isn’t relevant
- Best for Security - overall security is superb and very resistance to forced entry attempts from either side of the gate
- Steel or Aluminium - the best materials for the construction of a larger gate, with almost any sizes possible
- High Wind Resistance - excellent stability in very high winds and also always operable in high wind speeds
- For the Widest Entrances - Available in sizes up to around 30 metres in commercial or industrial applications with 2 gate leaves bi parting.
- Safety Guaranteed - Obstacle detection during operation is far simpler than other gate types when operating
- Durable and Reliable - Sliding gates have no excessive forces placed on them and also move with minimall arts so they are very reliable over time
- Manual or Electric - Manual operated versions slide effortlessly with the smooth mechanism and balanced weight.
- Standard or Bespoke - Many standard designs are perfect for most but we also offer bespoke designs with embedded logos or other features in the aesthetics.
Cantilever Security Gate
When it comes to any sliding gate you have either a traditional tracked sliding gate, using what is best described as a train track type floor arrangement, or you have the cantilever sliding gate system, using a balanced weight distribution when operating and has no contact at all with the floor and no tracking on the floor.. The cantilever gate has an extended triangular section to one end to balance the gate leaf in its sliding system during operation.
A tracked sliding gate does require a level floor for the tracking, but it can also provide better closure between gate and ground if this is essential. The tracked system also requires less overhang space to the side into which it opens which is a consideration if space is limited.
A cantilever gate is usually the best overall solution for most commercial gate applications as the floor doesn’t need to be level and there is no track for any vehicle to drive over, particularly fork lifts being a potential issue.. They can be more expensive but they also last a lot longer because of their simple and smooth mechanism.
The cantilever sliding gate operates smoothly and with minimal components and also for very large sizes uses only one motor drive unit, so maintenance is minimal and longevity is guaranteed. They are also unaffected by snow and ice generally along with other debris which might be present on sites, particularly gravel as one example.
A sliding commercial gate offers the best method of controlling access to any private site and with some of the high speed models you have a very efficient system which can also partially open of course for smaller vehicles on very large openings.
The controls are extensive and can be integrated into existing access control systems on any site or use isolated local control as well as smart control for certain customers. Many unmanned sites like sliding gates for access control because of their reliability.
Bespoke Designs & Features
The gate designs can be made to suit the client and additional features such as built in pedestrian access gates can be included for easy pedestrian entry or exit without even operating the main gate.
Some very common applications for commercial and industrial sliding gates include industrial buildings, manufacturing plants, warehouses and distribution sites, schools, offices, industrial estates, self storage sites, car parks, public building sites, airports, ports, shopping malls and so on…
