Description
A bi folding gate will open and close faster than swing gates, providing faster and better access control for vehicles and pedestrians to premises.
These gates are the ideal solution when there is limited side room or internal space restrictions too and they are most used in entrances with a corridor and no space either side at all.
An excellent electric security gate solution for so many types of commercial buildings and used very frequently in Central London and other major cities where space is always at a premium.
This single leaf bi folding gate is available in widths between 2m and 5m wide and heights from 1.8m to 2.4m as standard - we can also look at other bespoke sizes if required on request.
Manufactured from high grade steel with a choice of gate leaf infills to suit your site. The strength and stability is guaranteed by the basic steel leaf design and build, with 2 leaves mounted on steel posts with a hinged centre to fold the door leaf when opening or closing.
Powdercoat finished gate leaves and posts with a galvanized option if required.
2 post mounting - The gates are all supported on a pair of box section steel posts either side which are concreted into the ground and also include controls and motor drive components. Being a trackless system the installation is relatively simple on site and only requires the posts to be secured and power supply connected along with any hard wired control accessories. Minimal installation time should be guaranteed for your site.
Electric Motor Drive
These gates are electrically operated as standard using a three phase motor and wormed gear drive system. The motor uses a driven frequency convertor, with single phase power and a three phase motor for the smoothest movement and 100% duty cycle.
The gates are trackless and will open anywhere between 4 and 10 seconds depending on exact final size and version of gate.
Control of the gates can be anything from a simple push button inside or a fully integrated access control system with GSM intercom and gate house existing control integration.
Safety
Safety is paramount on any commercial electric gate and with a bi folding gate there are multiple entrapment/crushing points so the gates have a standard mixture of infra red beams and obstacle detection sensors to ensure a vehicle or person cannot be trapped and injured.
The standard includes 2 photocell kits, 10 safety edges, two emergency stops, and a LED warning light. The gates can be fitted with auxiliary infrared barriers and light barriers. All this to make sure that the gate can operate without additional supervision in high-volume vehicle or pedestrian traffic.
The 9500 Bi-Folding Gates comply with BS/EN 12453 (ALL automated gates must comply with the current legislation)
These safety sensors are never optional, these are required by law and hopefully obvious to any building manager/operator and apply to any electric gate or barrier system in a commercial environment.
Application

Ideal for any entrance or exit with limited side room or obstacles inside or outside the entrance too. The bi folding mechanism enables minimum space to be used when opening or closing the gates.
