While it is primarily designed for standard face-fix wall mounting, its versatile framework allows it to be installed in more complex locations, provided the correct structural assessments are made.

Because the Windermere can span up to 6 metres in width, ensuring a robust fixing point is essential. Wider models may require professional spreader plates to safely manage the forces exerted by the folding arms during breezy conditions. The concealed adjustment mechanisms not only make the final installation look neat and refined, but also allow installers to finely tune the pitch and angle of the awning for optimal water run-off and shade projection.

Every Lakeland Windermere awning is supported by a robust 5 year manufacturer’s guarantee, covering the aluminium framework, moving mechanical parts, and the Somfy motor system. The high grade, water-repellent fabrics are also protected by an additional 10-year warranty, offering strong resistance to UV damage and mould.
