Description The Outa-Dor Exit is an emergency exit, fire escape, 55mm double skin steel doorset with a single or double leaf door arrangement for use on the external fabric of any building, purpose made to the perfect size. Offered as purpose made as standard you can also choose from various options on the panic escape hardware on the door. Emergency Application - BS EN179 or Panic Application BS EN1125 options for the single or double doorset.
Standard maximum width is 1340mm wide and 2823mm high for a single leaf door.
Double doorsets are 2592mm wide and 2415mm high for their maximum sizes.
A fully compliant and certified emergency fire exit steel doorset with the correct panic hardware is an essential part of any commercial building fire exit strategy, but it is still an external door on any building too, which means it needs to protect well against weather, heat and cold and attempted forced entry from outside.
The door also benefits from having good standard levels of thermal insulation, important for any external steel doorset and also for energy conservation and newer building regulations in the UK. The door can be enhanced on its thermal performance if required
Thermal Performance:
Tested and achieving a rating of 2.2W/m2K based on a door size of 1090mm x 2090mm WxH – values may vary slightly depending on size and finished colour of the doorset.
Reduced U-values also available with Thermaguard Technology (Patent Pending)
Fire Rating
Outa-Dor is available with a honeycomb door leaf infill, either non fire rated or with a choice of 60, 120 or 240 minute fire rating. The honeycomb infill cannot achieve the thermal performance of mineral wool infill. If you require a higher thermal performance then look at the Outa-Dor Therm doorset. We can offer a 60 minute fire rated door with a U value of 1.5W/(m2K).
Non fire rated doors with a U value of 1.3W/(m2K) are also offered with the Therm 1.3.
High Performance Steel Construction
The Outa-Dor is manufactured using Magnelis steel which provides the very best anti corrosion resistance and offers a 10 year guarantee when installed in non coastal areas C1 - C3.
ApplicationAn emergency, panic escape external doorset for the fastest emergency exit from a building when required. Used extensively in warehouses, factories, offices, schools, hospitals, theatres and cinemas, retail shops, hotels and many more buildings. Steel is ideal for any external doorset because of its strength and durability. The doors are more secure than timber or other materials and can offer enhanced finishes if aesthetics are important.
Emergency fire exit doors are a legal requirement in any building occupied by more than 5 people and other criteria depending on the type of building and whether the public are also included during operational hours. The doors must be always clearly marked and kept unobstructed at all times with clear access to the door with clear signage to indicate the door position in the building.
