The SeceuroShield 77 offers superb value for money, combining double-skin insulated aluminium construction with straightforward 240V tube motor operation. Perfect for light commercial premises and larger domestic applications where moderate usage and medium-sized openings are typical.

Proven Design, Modern Application

Originally developed three decades ago as a security shutter for window and door protection, the SeceuroShield 77 has evolved into an excellent roller door solution. The 77mm double-skin aluminium slat features a gently curved profile that provides structural rigidity whilst the foam-filled core delivers valuable thermal insulation - ideal for workshops, storage facilities, car showrooms and upmarket residential garages.

Built using premium internal components, this shutter prioritises longevity and dependable operation. The simple continental-style construction combines aluminium side guides with robust steel end plates, whilst the full hood cover provides complete protection for the rolled curtain.

Full Hood Benefits

The comprehensive hood design delivers practical advantages, particularly in installations with limited headroom. When the shutter partially projects into the opening due to restricted space above, the hood acts as a neat fascia panel. This makes it equally suitable for underneath-lintel installations or situations where traditional headroom simply doesn't exist.

Made to Measure Manufacturing

Every shutter is manufactured to your precise millimetre-accurate dimensions, accommodating installation inside the aperture, between reveals, or face-fixed to the exterior. All quoted dimensions refer to overall width and overall height, including side guides and the end plate/hood assembly.

Hood and end plate dimensions typically range from 250mm to 350mm in height, depending on the overall shutter height and the resulting size of the coiled curtain when fully retracted. We provide detailed manufacturing drawings for your approval before production begins, ensuring perfect specification accuracy.

Installation Considerations

When specifying between-reveal or external installations, careful consideration of manual override systems is essential. Correct override positioning, accessibility and appropriate locking mechanisms must be specified at the ordering stage to ensure practical operation and compliance with operational requirements.

This is a multi purpose insulated roller shutter but only for low usage, less than 20 operations per day with the 240V tube motor drive fitted inside the barrel.

Roller Door Construction

Curtain Slat

Double-walled foam-filled aluminium profile, 77mm high x 17mm deep. CFC-free foam core provides effective thermal and acoustic insulation.

Bottom Slat

Extruded aluminium with integrated rubber bottom seal as standard. Optional wireless safety edge available for motorised installations requiring additional protection during closing operations.

Shutter Box

Complete full hood cover supplied as standard, consisting of die-cast aluminium end plates with two-piece roll-formed aluminium box section. Larger shutters (curtain weight approximately 75kg and above) are fitted with zinc-plated steel end plates for enhanced structural support.

Guide Rails

Extruded aluminium box section guides (UPH250 profile) with integral reinforcement channel and high-density 4mm pile brush seals. Guide dimensions: 90mm wide x 34mm deep.

Important: Overall width includes both guide rails. When calculating opening requirements, remember to account for 180mm total guide width (90mm per side). The quoted overall width dimension is the ordering width.

Medium security specification suitable for commercial, industrial and retail applications. Install as a roller door for vehicle or goods access, or as a security shutter for window and doorway protection.

The insulated double-skin curtain provides effective heat retention and sound insulation, making it ideal for climate-controlled environments and noise-sensitive locations. Can be combined with SeceuroVision 800 transparent slats where partial vision or natural ventilation is required.

Electric Operation Controls

All motorised shutters are supplied with a Somfy Inis Uno single-pole switch as standard unless alternative control devices are specified at ordering.

Switch Mounting: Surface-mounted wall box supplied as standard (80mm x 80mm x 45mm deep). Flush-mounted boxes available on request.

Safety Compliance: All control switches are configured as "hold-to-run" (maintained pressure) operation for safety. The control switch must be positioned within clear, unobstructed view of the shutter throughout its travel.
