Advanced 51mm Insulated Construction

Manufactured using Fort's premium Pro 51mm insulated panel system, this door combines a robust 51mm double-skinned outer aluminium frame profile with steel insulated panel inserts and integrated window frames. The advanced polyisocyanurate (PIR) thermal core delivers industry-leading insulation performance with a U-value of 1.4W/m²K. The windows are positioned to maximise natural light entry whilst maintaining structural integrity. The thick panels offer superior acoustic insulation whilst the robust construction delivers enhanced security.

Security Features and Hardware

The Fort Pro 51mm range incorporates advanced security features as standard. A 3-point locking system with mortice lock and twin hook bolts provides secure multi-point engagement, whilst the 3-star anti-snap euro profile cylinder resists attacks. Concealed shoot bolts on the inactive leaf prevent forced opening. The robust lever handle features internal thumb-turn operation. Door stays are fitted as standard. Optional smart access systems with fingerprint recognition and smartphone app control are available.

Configuration and Finish Options

Available in 50/50 split or 1/3 - 2/3 split configurations. The windows feature frosted or textured glazing for privacy whilst allowing natural light. Choose from 32 powder-coated RAL colours including Pure White (RAL 9010) and Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016). The high-quality powder coating is applied to both door leaves and steel sub-frame. Double weather seals and a thermally broken threshold ensure maximum thermal performance. External hinges are 3D adjustable for perfect alignment. Supplied made-to-measure as pre-assembled doorsets. Manufactured in the UK with a 10-year warranty.

9 different lever handle finishes are available at the same price or choose a chrome finished smart lock system at extra cost allowing finger print recognition for entry. This system is in a chrome finish as standard.

Roller bar locking and fixed straight vertical pull bars in stainless steel are available externally in 1200mm or 1600mm lengths at extra cost.

Doors open outwards as standard but on request you can have the door opening inwards at extra cost in manufacturing. The seals will not perform as well with the doors opening inwards.

These side hinged doors have been designed as most other preassembled side hinged doors we offer online with all the relevant parts already pre fitted in the factory process. The doors are delivered to you as a complete assembled doorset ready to install.

Simply offer the doors with their prefitted fixing sub frame into the opening and secure the fixing frame and adjust levels in the process with the 3d hinges fitted and adjustable locking
A level floor is essential for the best results and a square aperture also makes installation easier but there are adjustments all round and in all directions.
 

The standard guarantee of 2 years is given to the holder of the product that covers all parts and the door panel, providing the serial number is readable, intact and in place. Factory applied paint finishes are 2 years on steel doors that have standard colours applied.

The product is given a 2 year warranty for hinges and locking for normal use whereby normal use consists of no more than 5 operations (open/close) per day. We recommend the product is inspected and serviced annually by a competent engineer from the garage door industry, the warranty for parts replaced by an engineer or for supply only is 6 months or for the remainder of the warranty period. If warranty work is carried out the product guarantee does not extend past the anniversary of installation/ supply date.
