SeceuroVision 900 Security Roller Grille
The SeceuroVision 900 provides the perfect balance between security and visibility. Designed primarily for internal applications on shopfronts, serveries, bars, and kiosks, this grille delivers substantial physical protection without visually closing off the space. Its open-link construction ensures that merchandise remains the focal point, allowing for 24-hour marketing even while your business is secure.
Curtain Configuration & Aesthetics
The curtain is constructed from high-grade extruded aluminium links and hinge sections. To suit your specific aesthetic or security requirements, the SeceuroVision 900 is available in four distinct slat configurations, offering different visual patterns and levels of openness:
- 150mm In-line Spacing: A uniform, grid-like appearance offering maximum visibility (standard density).
- 150mm Brick Bond Spacing: A staggered pattern for a classic masonry-style look (standard density).
- 75mm Brick Bond Spacing: A tighter, denser staggered pattern for increased security and rigidity (higher density, surcharge applies).
Note: The 75mm spacing options use significantly more aluminium sections per square metre, resulting in a heavier, more robust curtain (8kg/m²) compared to the standard 150mm spacing (7kg/m²).
Operation & Controls
The SeceuroVision 900 is available with two operation methods to suit your daily usage and budget:
Electric Operation (Recommended)
Powered by a reliable 240V tubular motor, the electric version is the most popular choice for ease of use. It is capable of securing larger openings:
- Max Width: 5000mm (up to 2600mm height)
- Max Height: 4000mm (up to 3200mm width)
Safety & Compliance: All electric shutters are supplied as standard with an "Inis Uno" single pole switch in a hold-to-run configuration. For enhanced security, a Key Switch is a popular upgrade.
Please note: To comply with UK safety regulations, hold-to-run switches must be installed in full view of the grille to ensure the operator can see the shutter during movement.
Manual Operation
For smaller openings or applications where power is not available, a spring-assisted manual version is available. This is counterbalanced for smooth lifting and lowering.

Installation & Fitting
The SeceuroVision 900 is a versatile roller grille system designed for straightforward installation in various commercial and retail environments. However, due to the nature of the security fixings and electrical components (for motorised versions), we strongly recommend professional installation by a qualified engineer.
Fitting Positions
The system can be installed in three primary configurations to suit your building's design:
- Internal Face Fix: The most common application for shopfronts. The guides and box are fitted to the inside surface of the wall, keeping the grille safely behind the glass.
- Reveal Fix: Installed within the window or door opening itself. This is often used where internal wall space is limited, though it reduces the clear opening width slightly.
- External Face Fix: While possible, this is less common for open grilles. If chosen, the coil is typically housed in a fully enclosed aluminium box for weather protection.
Shutter Box Requirements
The curtain coils into a compact aluminium housing (box). The size of this box depends on the height of the opening and the curtain roll diameter:
- Standard Box Sizes: 250mm or 300mm square.
- Headroom: Ensure sufficient headroom is available above the opening to accommodate the box size. For a 250mm box, you will need at least 250mm of clear vertical space above the lintel to hide the mechanism completely.
Electrical Requirements (Motorised Version)
- Supply: Requires a standard 240V 13A fused spur or isolator.
- Switch Location: For safety compliance, "Hold-to-Run" switches (standard rocker or key switch) must be installed in a position where the operator has a clear, unobstructed view of the shutter during operation.
- Commissioning: The motor limit switches must be set precisely to ensure the grille stops at the correct top and bottom positions, preventing damage to the curtain links.
Manual Operation Considerations
- Reach: For spring-assisted manual shutters, consider the height of the opening. The user must be able to reach the bottom slat handle when the shutter is fully open to pull it down.
- Sideroom: Manual spring shutters do not require a motor side, but sufficient sideroom is still needed for the guide rails (75mm or 90mm each side).

Accurate measurement is critical for the successful manufacturing and installation of your SeceuroVision 900 roller grille. Because every shutter is made to measure, errors in dimensions can lead to costly modifications. Please follow this guide carefully or contact our technical team for assistance.
1. Determine the Fitting Method
Before measuring, decide where the shutter will be installed relative to the opening. This dictates how you record your "Ordering Sizes".
- Face Fix (Internal or External): The guides and box are fitted onto the wall surface surrounding the opening. This is the most common method for maximising clear width.
- Reveal Fix: The shutter is installed inside the opening itself (between the jambs). This is useful when no face-fixing surface is available.
2. What to Measure
Measure the structural opening width and height in three places (top, middle, bottom for width; left, centre, right for height). Use the smallest width and the largest height for your initial assessment.
3. Calculating Ordering Sizes
We manufacture to "Overall Guide Width" and "Overall Guide Height" (Total Height including box). Do not order based on the clear opening size alone.
For Face Fix Installations:
- Ordering Width = Opening Width + Guide Width + Guide Width
(Standard UPH240 guides are 75mm each, so add 150mm total to your opening width.) - Ordering Height = Opening Height + Box Size
(Standard box sizes are 250mm or 300mm. Add this to your opening height so the box sits above the lintel, preserving clear walkthrough height.)
For Reveal Fix Installations:
- Ordering Width = The tightest structural opening width minus a tolerance (typically 5-10mm) for fitting ease.
- Ordering Height = The total height from floor to lintel underside.
(Note: The shutter box will sit inside the opening, reducing the clear walkthrough height by approx. 250mm-300mm.)
4. Check for Obstructions
Ensure there are no obstacles in the fitting area:
- Sideroom: Check for light switches, skirting boards, alarm sensors, or pipework where the guides will fix.
- Headroom: Check for ceiling lights, bulkheads, or air conditioning units where the shutter box will sit.
- Floor Level: Ensure the floor is level. If the floor slopes, the bottom slat may not seal correctly, or the shutter may require a tapered bottom slat (at extra cost).
