Description

The Teckentrup SLW40 offers another option for a high vision, insulated sectional door which is available up to large sizes with manual or electric operation. This is a door ideal for showrooms, exhibition halls, factories, warehouse retail outlets and many other buildings where light and vision are required.
High levels of weather sealing, insulation, security and complete reliability are standard in this superb door. Smooth, quiet operation is also standard and even a faster speed motor option is possible where required.

Teckentrup are a German manufacturer of steel and aluminium domestic and commercial doors and known for their high quality, specification and high performance, backed up by exceptional certification and test results over many years.

The SLW40 is one of 4 industrial sectional door models with a 40mm panel base and with further options for 80mm models, using triple or even quadruple glazed window options.

Wicket (Pedestrian) Door Inset - KEY FEATURE OPTION
One of the biggest features for any high quality insulated sectional door is the ability to incorporate a pedestrian door in the main door. This is difficult on many others door, perhaps with the exception of the folding door. It offers the easiest access into or out from your building on foot without having to operate the main door or have a side door separately, maximising your energy saving and insulation. For convenience and energy conservation this door is perfect for any buliding where foot traffic is high. The door itself is also larger than a normal UK size door as standard.

The pedestrian sectional wicket door

In the event of high temperature gradients, substantial amounts of heat are lost every time a door is opened on a building. It is why wicket doors make a large contribution to energy saving and environmental protection. The optional wicket door is optimised according to our standard “Design meets safety”.  The results are a nearly flush look, as well as a high-quality finish in anodised aluminium. In addition, the door has concealed internal 2D hinges, a 3-fold locking and increased burglary protection.Teckentrup offers wicket doors with a lower threshold of 23 mm. This allow trolleys and other transport devices to pass through unhindered.

The wicket door fits harmoniously into the door leaf due to its integrated finger-pinch guard and narrow profile geometry. With flexible floor seal made of rot-proof EPDM.

Application

Medium to large opening where insulation is required to higher levels than a roller shutter door can achieve.
Very good option for any opening which has a lot of pedestrian traffic and the main door needs to stay closed most of the time.

This is a perfect industrial or commercial door for so many openings and buildings where insulation, security and energy conservation and high quality aesthetics are important. A sectional door will provide far higher levels of performance, even in standard form, over most other industrial doors and offers mainly insulation, great weathersealing and security simply based on the operating mechanism and strength of the panels.

Installation

Most industrial sectional doors are quite complex to install and require specialist lifting equipment when over 3000mm high. The requirement for dead square and accurate levelling is ultra important on these doors as they are so 3 dimensional in their movement. The tracking requires accurate levelling and triangulation.

Samson Doors offer a National Installation service for the Teckentrup SLW 40 and other sectional door models, please email or call for details and pricing. Pricing will depend on location, structural opening size, tracking system specified and control methods, if electrically operated. Please provide as much detail as possible for accurate pricing, including images from site and details of access for large vehicles, etc.

Installation instructions are available in our Downloads section.

Measure

Although we can provide a door price based on the basic aperture dimensions, along with the headroom and side room available in the building, many more exact dimensions are often required in order to specify the best tracking and spring arrangements along with motor drive placement. Samson can offer specialist surveying for sectional industrial doors, please email or call for a price and availability. If you order the sectional door following our survey the survey cost is reimbursed.

Sectional doors nearly always fit BEHIND the structural opening of a building because of the tracking, headroom and spring support requirements. This also optimises all the performance from the insulated and weathersealed panels used in the door as they are behind the fabric of the buliding offering a proper thermal break arrangement.
