Installation & Housing Configurations

- Internal / Between Opening Fitting: Generally supplied without a barrel casing (open construction). If a chain hoist is specified, separate chain sprocket cladding is provided for safety.
- External / Face Fitting: Generally supplied with a protective barrel casing (hood) to protect the curtain mechanism from weather and debris.
- Compensation Kit: Available to accommodate unevenness in the building structure when fitting behind or in front of the opening.
Security & Locking
- Standard: Honeycomb structure provides reach-through protection.
- Optional Extras: Lockable bottom profile available with two-point locking, operated via lever handle or shootbolt.
Installation Tooling Requirement
Please Note: A specific fitting gearbox is required to install the manually operated version of this grille. This tool facilitates the tensioning and setup of the door.
- The fitting gearbox is a reusable tool.
- If you are a trade installer, this tool can be retained and reused for future Hormann HG-L installations.
