High quality, electric operated, high security, industrial steel roller shutter using a standard guage curtain slat in an 18swg steel curtain. The Traditional build is primarily for an internal face fit application which is most commercial buildings, especially as a steel frame construction.
This is a 3 phase security roller shutter for the UK market using a standard steel curtain but a higher power 3 phase direct motor drive for longevity and reliability.

A more powerful three phase, direct drive motor used on this door ensures the smoothest operation on the largest sizes for this door and means you can perform more operations per day than a single phase motor. (exact details on request) Direct drive uses less moving parts and therefore less long term wear and tear but also ensures the power is driving through the shortest distance and mechanics directly onto the roller door barrel.

Direct drive 415V motor roller doors are only available with an outboard set up so please ensure you have the sideroom available where the motor will be situated.
Direct drive motors have less moving parts and are generally quieter too. They are directly driving the curtain barrel for the most efficient operation every time.
The single skin steel galvanised curtain is using a 75mm scrolled lath in an 18 guage steel. The guides and endplates are also in galvanised steel.
Application
Typical use for this Seceurodoor would be on any industrial or commercial building where there are maybe 30 - 60 operations a day or less. If security is important to you then this certified LPS1175 rated door is ideal. We can also specify this door with a higher rated motor is more operations per day are required. Please email or call.
This roller shutter door includes an emergency manual override system as standard, with a chain pulley override integrated with the motor on the same side.
Direct drive three phase motors offer the potential for an upgrade to high usage motors if required with even 24 hour use possible. Please call or email for prices and details.

The electric direct drive three phase GfA 415V electric motor can be controlled by 2 main methods:
The most basic method is an internal wall mounted push button station with a hold to run logic. You stand and hold the button firm for the duration of the opening or closing cycle and this way no safety edge or beam systems are legally required keeping the costs to a minimum.
Of course you must be able to enter the building via another door for this method.
The second option is a wall mounted control panel which can be programmed to have an impulse operation meaning you simply push the up or down button momentarily and the door will auto operate and has safety edge detection built in with the bottom T rail section to stop if an obstacle is met.
Colours
This roller door is available with the curtain prefinished in either a powdercoat finish which would be the same colour each side of the slat, or it is available in a plastisol coated external finish, which has a standard off white internal paint finish.
As totally standard and used by many people, depending on the roller door location, you can have the steel curtain in its natural galvanised steel finish.

Measure
The ordering sizes for our Seceurodoor ‘Traditional’ build roller shutter doors are the actual daylight opening sizes In-between the side guides and underneath the endplates (actual guide height). Make sure you understand the guide and angle widths either side and the endplate size in relation to the door size ordered as these will need to have the relevant space to accommodate either side. The motor drive side requires more room at the endplate height unless you choose for the motor to be inboard.
For the perfect internal face fitting situation behind any opening these ordering sizes are effectively the same as the aperture size, but there is always a small hang down on the bottom slat when fully open, which affects the final drive through height.
Samson Doors will always provide a final detailed door drawing for you to check and sign off with us before any manufacturing commences.
The Traditional build on this roller shutter door incorporates steel guides and track angles with optional arrangements to suit the fixing points on site. A ‘Traditional’ build roller shutter will use steel guides, channels, endplates and optional hood cover. Using steel components means the door can be larger than the Continental style roller shutters.
The endplates and hood cover size will vary depending on the height of the door so please be aware to check the drive through height and endplate size.
An emergency manual override is included as standard with the access underneath the endplate on the motor side as facing looking at the endplate side of the shutter. Other positions are available on request.
