What Are Sliding Gate Types Available?
Firstly you have the traditional tracked sliding gate which uses a floor mounted steel track system on which the main gate will roll on in the similar way to a train track. This type of sliding gate does require a level floor but can be any width at all and takes up the least space to the opening side. Smooth, effortless operation and available as manual or electric operation.
The second type is a cantilever sliding gate system, this uses a counterbalanced gate leaf with an extended section on the back end of the gate and the whole gate hangs off the support posts with no ground track system required. The gate slides horizontally across the opening suspended in the air so the ground level or surface is irrelevant. These gates are great for uneven surface entrances but also offer 100% duty cycle operation for very busy vehicular entrances.
